When Ennio’s Crew approached us, their MD Baumi, who is very proficient in Ableton himself, already had the session set up, they just needed the technical infrastructure to run the show. To fulfill their requirements, we assembled all the equipment for a redundant system with MIDI networked and mounted into a custom designed rack. We then made sure the computers and networking were set up correctly to reliably run the session and automatic redundant switching. All that was left to do is load the Ableton Live Set. Ennio wanted to avoid having a control surface that was obviously visible so Baumi came up with a way to read and navigate the setlist on his MIDI foot controller. Together we realized this by sending and receiving MIDI via the stage looms thereby avoiding any extra cabling. This resulted in a professional solution that, like all our systems, is very easy to set up and streamlined to operate.
